Training weekends 2017/2018

In 2017/2018 we will be hosting a series of training weekends. These courses, organised in partnership with the British Academy of Fencing, will mix personal performance for fencers with coach education for new and developing coaches.

The course will be staffed by Prof. Andrew Norris, Vice-President of the BAF and Head Coach of Southampton Epee Club.

Who can attend?

Fencers - personal performance focused on epee for adults and competitive juniors including group training, sparring, and individual lessons with developing coaches

Coaches (levels 1-3) - personal performance hand-in-hand with coach education (foil, epee or sabre) focusing on the BAF syllabus

Coaches (advanced/diploma) - join in with main course or work independently on exam questions with guidance

Although the coaching element of the course will focus on preparing you for BAF coaching awards, coaches simply looking to refresh their skills or get new ideas are also welcome to attend.
